anyway in the Ip office to have delay coverage

*if you choose the coverage option in user tab its immediate
ring at other phones ...they would like it to ring 4 times at the "original" station and then 4 rings to 5 or so covering extensions and the Voicemail. this is the same for about 15 users that cover for each other :)

*the users would like it to act like cover paths in the
Definity ....do you have to point it to a Hunt group
and then overflow ??

example 1
incoming 300
routes to x300
(if possible ring after x amount of rings)
coverage to 5 phones or so ??

example 2
incoming 300
dest 500 (hunt group 1)
extension 300 as member of hunt 1
overflow to hunt 2 w/members after 16 seconds
x301
x302
x303
x304
x305
goes to voicemail as x300 if not answered

I have intsalled a few Ip Offices but always as Immediate
coverage ...it just these users are from a definity setting and would be best to keep it simple.

On example 1, afraid its a familiar message - wait for 3.0 which has a separate per user timeout for when calls go to covering extensions after ringing unanswered.

You could call fwd on no answer ext. 300 to a dummy extension. then have that dummy extension cover to the 5 users who need to cover for ext. 300.

The call fwd on no answer will first ring ext. 300 (depending upon defualt allocated answer interval for ext. 300) and then pass it to the dummy extension(which would ring the extensions covering it).

R3.0 will be able to handle the situation better (or so they say), but if you need a quick solution this should work as well.

Just to let you guys know, the 3.0 coverage option is great. Works just like you would expect it to, except that your coverage delay is the same for every user that covers you.

Thanks Telecomboy

cf no ans to a dummy extension or a hunt group with different members works both ways like a charm

rings phone A then call forwards after allocated Timer

rings all phone then drops into correct mailbox
