Point4: Point5: Point6:
First issue Calls to the coverage Answer group only ring 2 times: Number of rings are at 4.

In order to get 4 rings I duplaced the answer group and And put it in point 2 and H100 (VM). This issue the li trace sta shows the 2nd point skipped over then right into VM. Still only ringing 2 times. I went as far as putting 4 in the Rng field still NG.

What's going on Here
Thanks in advance

If I am not mistaken if any member of the coverage answer group has answered a covered call, the entire coverage answer groups becoms "busy" and subsequent calls will bypass them until that call is completed

You can try this:

COVERAGE CRITERIA

Station/Group Status Inside Call Outside Call
Active? n n
Busy? y y
Don't Answer? y y Number of Rings: 4
All? n n
DND/SAC/Goto Cover? y y

That will give you the four rings before it goes to coverage.

Coverage answer groups will not become busy if a person is handling a call to the answer group, however, members of the group can remove themselves from the group by activating send all calls on their station.

If all memebrs of the group have send all calls active on their stations, calls will skip over the group and go directly to the next point of coverage.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

I am trying to set up two coverage answer groups that alternate. Can I set it up in a vector to go to my announcement first. i would essentially like to set up a hunt group that has both coverage paths included. I am not sure how to do this though. Thanks

The amount of rings you enter behind the "Don't answer" criterium only applies to the amount of rings on the called extension before the system will redirect to coverage. It has no relation with the amount of rings between the coverage destination.

If I am not mistaking there is a system wide setting for the amount of rings between coverage points. In newer systems, like yours, you can override this system wide setting by putting in another amount of rings in the Rng field behind the coverage point.

Hmmm, it appears I was mistaking:

In the Point fields, type the extensions, the hunt group number, or the coverage answer group numbers that you want for coverage points. When you type a number and move to the next Point field, the system displays the Rng field.

• Perform one of the following actions:
a If you want to use the number of rings entered in the Number of Rings field, leave the Rng field blank.

b If you do not want to use the number of rings entered in the Number of Rings field, type the number of rings for this coverage point.
