I have a situation. I have a customer we are installing a IPO412 with about 140 users. Each and every user has a DID coming in on PRI. They want to have the following:
Call come in on DID over PRI, then ring their phone 3 rings then go to Receptionist for 4 rings and if not answered by her then to the DID's Mailbox. I know that I can set up this via linear huntgroups and have vmpro be programmed to accept the hunt group call and route to the users mbox, but is there an easier way? Basically they had coverage like a definity with coverage paths and want the same????

THanks,

Use the VMPro.

Customise the Leave start point to attempt an assisted transfer to the operator which if fails is followed by a normal Leave Mail action.

Either do it with the Default Leave start point if for all users or via a module that you can then include in the call flow of those users who do need it.

set divert no answer to the reception group & enable VM.

The call will ring reception for the no answer time & then return to the original callers mailbox.

works with VM Lite as well

Bingo, genius IPGuru, forgot the fundamental - "Unanswered diverted calls go to the mailbox of the orginal call destination".

I think I got it, can you explain further? I don't fully get it yet.

the sequence is as follows

1 the user diverts to a reception group on no answer
2) if call not answered by the reception group the call diverts to VM
3) VM will send the call to the mailbox of the ORIGINAL intended dstination, ie the user not reception.

IPGuru,

I am sorry to be dumb, but where do you have a divert to reception? Please give more detail, sorry to be a jack&*&.

IPGURU,

That works great, but is there a way to have the caller hear ringing instead of MOH on the assisted transfer?
