Have a client thats running a Mitel Light
with a 8 Port CoVoice and they love the
Covoice and really don't want to Part with it!
My question is when you hop up to the 200 ICP
does it not Support COV cards in the Peripheral
Bays?

it does support COV cards but with limited programing, I think only the prime key, they kept it for vmails that had COV integration and some wireless systems. For awhile they dropped the option as free but back again, check out form 4 option 98

Support of COV Sets and Cards was discontinued long before the SX-200ICP.

When My customers want to hold onto things like that I ask them I simple question?

Look around your office, How many Calculators, Faxes, Photocopiers or any other electronic device is older than 5 years? 10 years? 15 years?

The COV technology is over 20 years old and is more critical to the business than a calculator, isnt it?

There is an island of opportunity in the middle of every difficulty.
Miss that though, and you're pretty much doomed!

I am currently using wireless sets with COV integration on some of my switches, checkout form 4 option 98 that is why it is there. What I am wondering is your vmail emulate COV technology and that works for sure, I have not installed a COV card itself in a ICP and that most likely would not work but the option for set type 410/420/430 etc is still there and usable. If you vmail emulates COV and does not need extra keys on the set type it will work.

I Guess my question should have been deos anyone
have a VSR Covoice running on an 200 ICP?

The COV software still remains in the switch, however do not call the guys at Mitel for support. They won't do it. I would however expect the COV software components to disappear as Mitel is starting to remove old code that will no longer be used (both 3300/SX-200 and SX-200 ICP/SX-200).
