Ok, glad to find this forum. Maybe I can get some help here rather than bugging others to death.

First question, and this may be an easy one. Sometime in the past I fixed my 6509 where I could get from our 10's network over to the 192 network where our phones etc. are. Somehow the switch lost it, and now I can't reach anything on 192. Any help?

Also, what's the best way to change the "on hold" music? I would love to rip an Enya CD and throw it somewhere. The "on hold" music is also staticy (is that a word?) and does not play "smoothly" when someone is on hold. Any ideas there?

Thanks,
RushB

Use your 56500 has a router. If you are using VLANS, then make sure that there are two vlan interfaces ( one for each vlan) and they have IP addresses. If the 6500 is your gateway for the network then as long as there are no access lists on the vlan interfaces it will start routing. If it is not your default gateway, add an entry to your default gateway to the voice network using your 6500 as the gateway.

If you are not using vlans, then shame on you ;). You should be. The on hold music is usually on the call manager server. On my 3.3.3 SR4 system MOH files are located in c:\Program Files\Cisco\MOH.

I would think tha static MOH is due to poor network performance, bad audio files or problems with the configuration. Here is everything you would want to know about MOH on the call manager.
Chek it out and let us know.
