Counting Text Occurences

I am using Crystal Reports XI and can't figure out how to count occurences of text. Specifically I am running reports for my help desk that count the # of completed work orders and gives a summary of the work order. I want to be able to break it down further by counting how many of each type of work order (i.e. Hardware, software, networking, etc..) occur for each department. I already have my work order count per dept but can't get it to count an occurence of a specific line of text. Any hellp would be greatly appreciated. Brandon

Brandon,

Have you tried 2 levels of grouping
1) Department
2) Work Order Type

You can then put a count of Work Order in the GF2 for Work Order Type & another in GF1 for the Department.

Perhaps you need to explain the problem a little further if this doesn't work for you.
