Dumb question I am afraid.

I have a subreport that shows items delivered over our target time grouped by delivery location. I want to show a count of these but can only seem to count all records.

I seem to recall that it has something to do with the evaluation time but cannot remember how I accomplish this (my course tutor reads these boards so, sorry Lyle - its fallen out of my head.)

All advice appreciated

Gavin

We don't know what "items delivered over our target time grouped by delivery location" equates to in terms of fields or even what it is that you intend to count at what level (items by delivery location?).

Posting technical information is generally best:

Crystal version
Database/connectivity
Example data
Expected output

You may be thinking of using a Running Total and in the evaluate->use a formula place the criteria of when it is to count.

Try inserting a running total that counts any recurring (non-null) record, evaluates for each record, and resets on change of group (delivery location). Place the running total in the group footer (not header) for location.

Superb, thanks very much. Worked perfectly in spite of my, frankly, rubbish description.
