I have several fields, about 10-50 fields each having a drop-down list of 3-4 keywords (Exceed;Met;Below). The objective is count the number of times a keyword occurs in a field/column and find a percent of the total number of keywords all together.

Where is best place to do this? I was thinking of doing that in the design area for reports.

Also, I am unable to create a report using wizard with so many fields (just over 50 fields in table), what am I doing wrong?

I expect your table structure is not normalized. A normalized table structure allows for easy counting of values. "just over 50 field in table" is about 20-30 too many in most applications.

You may be able to normalize your structure with a union query.

dhookom & UnicornRainbow,

Thanks so much gentlemen, I guess I have to go back to drawing board. I will normalize the table.

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am back! I have since normalize my tables, everything is working fine with all the reports I want, there is just one slight problem.

I have two tables named "Hotel Experience" and "Hotel Experience2", I have created a single form derived from both tables, how do I get the ID (Data Type:number) on "Hotel Experience2" to autofill using the ID (Data Type: Autonumber) from "Hotel Experience".

Just so you get a clear picture of my challenge; When I run my "Guest Experience" query which forms my report, I am only getting records from the Hotel Experience table (I have used a one-to-one joined type by ID which now have different numbers). I suspect the query is not picking up all records because the field (ID) are not equal in both table, how do I get to make ID's in both table the same; OR what other measure can I employ to get all the data on my query.

ALL THE DATA IN Hotel Experience and Hotel Experience2 are from the same raw data file(record).

Thanks

Your table names don't suggest much about your table contents. Having a one-to-one join is quite unusual. Could you provide some in formation about your tables such as field names and sample records? The provide a description of what you expect in your report.
