Counter not counting

My ISP has frontpage server extensions on their server. However, when I use the HitCounter in Frontpage2000 it doesn't increment when the page is loaded, it is stuck at 1, I have tried to access the page from different computers and still the 1.
I edited the HTML code a bit because it was trying to access the local folder I work on instead of the server. Here is the code that activates the counter:

Sometimes your have to delete in it and put it back.
I've had that happen to me.

I didn't quite understand you, but I fugure you meant for me to delete the files in which the counter is located. Well, I tried that and it still isn't working. I don't know what to do, any hints?

I meant
Delete the counter in your web page. Then the save the page.
Closed FP.
Then Open FP again.
Insert the counter component again where you want it.

I know it sounds weird. I had the same problem once. This is what I did. In my case, it worked for whatever unknown reason.
