Count work days in last month and current current year

I am performing a percentage calculation on a field, but I need to know the number of work days (Monday through Friday) in the last month. I am also doing the same calculation except I need to know the number of work days in the current year up to the last months last day. I think I can create a Define or Compute using a count function. Logically I would just get the last date of last month subtract from it the first date of last month. I am not sure how to reference the dates or subtract the Saturdays and Sundays.

Can anybody help?

Take a look in the WF Functions Manual. There you will find a section on how to set "Business Days.' You can can also set up holidays in order to increase the accuracy of your workday count.
