Would this be any help?

Have fun.

A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

How about counting the number of cells with values greater than or equal to -1, and subtracting the number of cells with the values greater than 1?

Something like:[tt]
=COUNTIF(A2:N2,">= -1") - COUNTIF(A2:N2,"> 1")[/tt]

Have fun.

Use COuNTifS() according to the following example for MS Help.

MS Excel Help said:
=COUNTIFS(A2:A7,"<6",A2:A7,">1")

Counts how many numbers between 1 and 6 (not including 1 and 6) are contained in cells A2 through A7.
