Count Records before report is printed

Is it possible to count the records in the report before a report prints?

I ask as I have a report that looks at ages in the database and displays them in a bar graph. The ages are grouped by age groups of 5 years, ie... 30-34

The groups are working and the bar graph works. I have been aksed to also include a percentage of the total along with the count for each group on the bar graph. So each bar shows the total count for the group, and I need to add the percentage each group nis of the grand total.

If you use a stacked bar graph won't it show % and count?
( I can't remember if that is supported in CR)
