Count of records

hi, ive just stated creating reports so am quite an amatur on the subject. i would like either:-

a count of all the records the report generate - say a txtbox at the bottom.

or

a number next to each record brought up

Add a text box to your report footer whose control source is:

=Count(*)

Hoc nomen meum verum non est.

To number your records in the detail section add a text box with the following properties:
Control Source: =1
Running Sum: Over All (or Over Group)
