I have a table that has a color field set as a number field, Long Integer.
Display Control = Combo Box
Row Source Type = Table/Query
Row Source = Color

In the Color Table Red =1, Blue = 2 and Green = 3.
The report need to be set up to report the info on each record, but then I need to pull out the numer of Red, Green, etc. from the color field.
I am clueless on what I would think is an easy thing to do.
HELP.

I am clueless to understand what you mean by "pull out the numer of Red,..."
What value is in the Record Source of your report?
What do you want to display in the report?

I want to show how many red and how many blue and how many green, plus the total number of all.

Could you please provide your table and field names? I think all you need is a totals query that groups by ColorName and counts some other field. Then your report footer can display the total of all colors.

The Table would be called tblProduct. The Combo Field in the table is called Color. The table that holds the color value is called tblColor.
1;red;2;Blue;3;Green

In the tblProduct, in the color field the data is shown as Red, Blue or Green.
I need to run a report for the month and show how many of the entries are Red. How many are Blue, etc.

I guess I am not very good at explaining this.

Create a query based on tblProduct and Color. Join the appropriate fields and add the fields to the grid. Select View|Totals and group by the Color name field. Count by another field. This will count the number of records of each color. Base your report off this query. Add a text box to the footer of the report with a control source like:
=Sum(YourCountField)
