When I kept trying to install Windows 2000, I get this error after it's doing a "Starting Windows 2000" In the dos mode (prior to picking which partition you want to install to)
STOP INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
has kind of a BSOD with a bunch of hex, and that main message. I have a 60G Drive, 3 partitions , 20Gs each, Ez-Drive is installed ( I made sure that Ez-Drive was loaded prior to install, my Abit KA7 Vx133 Mobo cant see drives larger than 32Gigs ) in any case, I once had win2k installed on this 60G, but only when it was the ONLY OS on the drive, and was taking the full 60G (which is misreporting free space, since Fat32 cant handle past 32Gig) well I installed Win98, on C: of the first 20G Partition, sees all partitions fine, but I Cant install win2k due to the message above.
also realizing I couldnt install it, I also couldnt get rid of the Boot menu, for Win2k Instalation or "Previous OS on C:" even fdisk /mbr wouldnt get rid of it, when I deleted all of Win2k's temp files, booting up says "ERROR CANT FIND LRDT" or soemthing similar, so I used a boot disk, restarted the Win2k instalation, still giving me that INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error, but least I Was able to get back into Win98, since it reinstalled the boot menu.
