Couldn't Get Default View ID for Database Error

I have a user when trying to submit a leave request in a Lotus Notes People & Events database, he gets the following error:

Couldn't get defualt View id for database(database\database.nsf)

Everyone else has no problem submitting their request.

We checked the ACL and he appears to be in the right group and has the permission to access the db. We also added his name directly in the ACL and still we get the error. The proble is definitely narrowed down to him but what now?

Does his mail file have a Default View correctly set ?

Normally it's the Inbox (a folder, I know).
