Couldn't find INSTALL.LOG

I just had the problem I often (always?) have with this installer. Trying to uninstall a program brings up: "Couldn't find INSTALL.LOG", although it is in there.
This time it was WindowBlinds.

I have to start unwise.exe manually and then choose the install.log or type "unwise install.log" in a shell.
This happens to other people as well. So what is the reason? The bug is there for years now.
