Hi,
I'm just wondering if someone could please explain the difference between SCR, MCR, SCN (and if there are more alternatives)?
Thanks in advance,
Jessica

SCR is for single call ringing , MCR is when you have more than 1 ext with same DN and for a ringing group like night service.

MCR means it rings simultaneously on all sets that have it configured - if you set it up on 10 phones, those 10 phones will all ring until the call is answered.

SCN is when the line is set up on a set but it does not ring - the key it is assigned to has a flashing chevron or phone next to indicate when it rings.

Hope this helps

SCR = Single Call Ringing = This means that you can only get one call on this particular key at a time. While someone is on the line all appeatances are lit up.

SCN = Single Call Nonringing = Same as SCR only it does not ring the set when a call comes in.

MCR = Multiple call ringing = All appearances if idle ring when a call comes in. When the call is answered all the indicators go out except the one with the call allowing the same number of calls for that DN to ring in as you have appearances. You can have this key on 10 different phones and have 10 active calls and only use 1 key on each set. Be careful with MARP and HUNT and FNA as it will follow the MARP'ed set.

MCN = Multiple call Nonringing = Same as MCR only it does not ring the set.

SCR means that if you have 5 sets configured with the same SCR key, when the number is called all 5 will ring, and whoever picks up takes the call. If another call comes in, the caller will get busy even though 4 of the sets are actually idle. So SCR Single Call Ringing means One call at a time even though there may be multiple appearences.

MCR means that if you have 5 sets configured with the same MCR key, when the number is called all 5 will ring, and whoever picks up takes the call. If another call comes in, the caller will ring the other 4 sets and so on until all appearences are busy. So MCR Multiple Call Ringing means Multiple calls at a time can be taken up to the number of appearences.

SCN and MCN are Non Ringing versions of SCR and MCR.
