could not use 'Admin'; file already in use

We get this error message on some of our MS access databases periodically, they run over citrix, any ideas what could be causing it, it happens when no one is logged in so I don't see it as anyone locking the database, any ideas?????

I realize that this is an old thread, but I just stumbled into the same error message and found the problem.

For my user, the problem was that they did not have full rights on the folder where the mdw file is stored. I have advised them that all users should have full read/write/create/delete permissions on the folder with the mdw and the folder with the back-end.

Hopefully this will help somebody.
