Could not start the Norton Antivirus server service

The Norton Anti-virus 8.1 running on the windows 200 doesn't work. When I try to start it manually, I receive this message: "Could not start the Norton Antivirus server service on local computer. Error: the environment is incorrect". The Event Viewer also have these ID: Event ID 7023 - The Norton Antivirus Server service terminated with the following error: The environment is incorrect and Event ID 14 - Norton AntiVirus services failed to start. Virus definition file is invalid. (CC001000). Any suggestions?

and download the .exe updater '20061107-019-x86.exe'. Run it on the server and it will refresh and update the definition files.

If this gets things working you'll then need to grab the .xdb file (from that same link) to insure the def's will push out to clients.
