Could not find the ColorSpace name 'cs6'

I have converted a number of word97 doc's to PDF by using distiller. May of the pdf doc's when displayed on line ( the

http://www )

have an error as noted above, you click ok and the doc seems ok ( ? I think ).

How do I prevent this error ? The purpose for converting to pdf was to produce error free , properly formated user guides for user to download and print.

The only times I received the "colorspace" error were when the 'Compatability' setting of the program that made the PDF, generally the Distiller, was set to a higher level version of Acrobat than was installed. I have Acrobat 3.0 installed, but the PDF was made to be read by Acrobat 4.0. Go into your Distiller program and checkout menu 'Settings' / 'Job Options'. Your problem is probably centered around them.
