My IBM HD boots fine in NT Workstation (WK). I connected the HD to a Dell NT Workstation and NT WK sees the HD but it cannot see the data (HD shows up as unformatted). I then moved the HD back to the IBM and it no longer could find the OS. Did writing the signature in Disk Administrator cause this? How can I fix this. Thanks in advance.

YES
Fixing it may not be easy if you cannot get back into Windows NT workstation using that Hard drive.

Is the hardrive where the OS was installed FAT or NTFS?
Boot to a floppy with a version of DOS and type "dir c:\"
If it says unknown hard drive or anthing but listing files out then it's NTFS which you have a to go to Step 3 below
If it's FAT then it will list the files
Then you might be able to simply edit the Boot.ini file.

Type dir boot.ini
it will list it out then you need something to edit it with. like DOS edit.com

3. Re-boot the maching and insert disk 1 of the 3 install floppies and do a repair, (if you have a recent Emergency Repair Disk "ERD")
OR
One way is to re-install NT workstation into another folder like "winnt-fix" or something other the the folder where it reside now. you can then get into see the hard drive at that point.
