Could not delete from specified tables -- delete query message

I am getting the message "Could not delete from specified tables" when I try to run a simple delete query.
This query returns 1 row when I run it as a select query.
ANy ideas?

Sometimes I find I need to start my query with DELETE DISTINCTROW, usually if it involves joins. Have you tried this?
