Hi,

I am current having problem to complete the backup process of MS SQL database job.

I got this message from message log:

"[ID 702911 daemon.notice] * database:MSSQL: Microsoft SQL Server Provider error:"
"[ID 702911 daemon.notice] * database:MSSQL: G:\rb_nwmsql_3_1_1\nsr\db_apps\bsmsql\nsrsqlado
.cpp(1854): ExecuteFailed event arrived."

"Could not allocate space for object 'backupfile' in database 'msdb' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full.."

"Could not insert a backup or restore history/detail record in the msdb database. This may indicate a problem with the msdb database. The backup/restore operation was still successful.."

Does anyone ever encounter this issue? I am using NW 6.1.3 (solaris) MSSQL module: 3.1.1 on Windows 2000 server MS SQL 2000.

Any help is appreciated.

The solution is to expand your msdb database (Primary is full)
You have to know that SQL keeps some info in msdb database each time you run a backup.
