we use ups on-line shipping here and randomly the pc has a memory dump when we process a shipment, doesnt happen every day,ive been on with ups tech 5 -6 times now un-installed and re-installed ups software a couple dozen times up-graded ram to 512k...the lan card is old and only running at 10mbs on a 10/100connection...think maybe the card only running at 10mbs could be causing these radom dumps?just a thought and was looking for some feed back on this un-justified logic..running windows xp-pro w/ 550mhz socket-a amd...thanks for any feed back on this.

the card running at 10mps shouldn't be a problem. the speed of the transmission isn't always at 100 mbs anyway. it could be a defective card, have you tried swapping it out? even swap it with a 10 mbs card. what's the connection with UPS?

It seems unlikely that the NIC would cause this. Have you cleand out the shipping history lately?

THANKS BOTH OF YOU I WILL TRY THE HISOTRY THING OUT AND AS WITH THE TRYING A NEW LAN CARD THAT WAS MY LINE OF THINKING SO I THINK ILL TRY THEM BOTH OUT ....THANKS AGAIN
