I have loaded the TCPIP stack into Netware 3.12 and try to log on to the server using my workstation that purely running with IP only. Is there a way to do it?

NO.

Only Netware 5.0 and above supports pure IP.

To get IP on previous versions you have to use Netware IP. This is encapsulated IP.

The tcpip stack you have allows services like Groupwise etc. Lee Smith

I know that you can run NWIP (NetWareIP) in a Nw4.x environment. I'm not sure about 3.x, though.

But either way, be prepared, it can be a beast. You can find more info about it on the Novell Website...

Good Luck!
