Hi,
Could anyone tell me what will be the minimum total cost of installing SQl Server fail over cluster on two nodes (inclusive of software and hardware cost)

Thanx

I don't know that anyone can give that information. Why not? Because every set up is different and price-wise, different companies get different deals/incentives/price breaks.

My cluster cost over $250,000. Do you need to spend that much - no.

Here is basically what you need, you can use the internet and cost it out.

Two servers
One shared storage (single or multiple disk)
Operating system software and two licenses (one per node)
SQL Server Enterprise Edition and proper licenses.
Appropriate 'extra' equipment to cluster the servers and shared storage.
