Hi, im running an mxe on mcd 4.0 and have a question about cos/cor.

I have 4 phones at my front desk. 1234, 1235, 1236, and 1237. Our DID for our main line is 5555. So what I have done is created a multicall of 5555 and put it on all 4 of these phone.

Now I need to change te call reroute timer for this line which is in the Class of service.. When I go to station service assignment, that DN is not listed.

Is there a way to have phone 1234 on COS 1 and have the multicall line 5555 set as a different COS? If not, which of the 4 phones COS the the 5555 line take?

Typically the phone with the lowest extension number is the best bet.

Actually, the one that controls can be any of them. The first one to be programmed with the Multicall will have control. Be cautious, as when you upgrade, the phones will be programmed in numerical order and the control phone may change.

If you were on 4.1 I would recommend you program 5555 as an IP device only and then create the multicalls. Then 5555 would have its own COS control.

Well I tried changing the COS on the lowest but that didnt see to help. However I setup button 5555 to reroute to another button I created called 5556. and then if 5556 still doesnt answer it reroutes back to 5555. This gave me the extra time I needed. To the users 5555 and 5556 just say "Main line" on their phones.

Would it have been an option to change the COS on ALL phones with the appearance. This would have removed the guesswork.
