Cortana - can I disable it? 2

As a long time DOS and then Windows user, I find Cortana to be a nuisance. Is there a way to disable it in Windows 10? If no easy way, I may try renaming certain Cortana executables to prevent it from sucking up all the memory and CPU of my system whenever its little Cortana heart desires.
