Corruption - operating system issue

Hi

I have designed an Access database on Office 2000. When I open the database on a windows XP/ME machine, add data, close it and then try and open it on a Windows 98 machine (with Access 2000) it corrupts my installation of Access. Anyone know why this happens, and how I can "convert" my database or use it on a 98 machine again?
