Corrupted Registry?

I am working on a friend's computer. His son was surfing the Internet unsupervised and low and behold suddenly the computer had some problems. Having seen some of the same troubles and finding an answer in this forum I installed Spybot and Ad Aware and ran them several times which cleaned out all but one problem. Now if he restarts or turns the computer off whenever the computer comes back on and he tries to go on-line this site comes up:Find 4u.net/index.htm. You can set the default internet home page to msn or yahoo or whatever but when you power cycle or restart the site : Find 4u.net/index.htm comes back and has become his default internet home page. He uses Internet Explorer(not sure what version) for a browser. Any ideas???

Download and UPDATE before running, and run:

http://www.merijn.org/files/cwshredder.zip

to remove the parasite. Be sure
to close all instances of IE and OE.

Then download and run:

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/iegentabs.reg

to restore your
tabs and remove any restrictions that the parasite has put in place.

Be sure that you also download and install hotfix Q816093, here:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=816093#appliesto

which blocks the exploit upon which this parasite family depends.

Now download and run:

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/RestoreSearch2.REG

to restore
your search functions.
