Hi all,
My first message here, so please don't flame me...
I have created a new Standard database to receive and allow to categrize the received faxes by sender, date, receiver...
When the mail is opened a mask displays the categorization fields and the body of the message, allowing users to select and launch the attachment.
This alows them to know to whom the fax was sent to, it's purpose,etc...
The received messages are plain text mails with an attached TIF file generated by my lan fax server.
When sent to any mailbox outside my company, and read by any mail client i've been able to test : (Eudora, different webmails, Otulook...), the attachmeed behavior is OK.
Unfortunately, once received in this database, the mail appears with no attachment in the inbox view. (No icon in the attachment row)
Once opened, the attahcemnt is (sometimes) visible as a FAX.TIF file which is what i want.
If i launch the attachment and then save the mail (modified or not), the attachement (still visible in the $FILE field of the document properties) is empty (0 bytes long) and a second attachment is "generated" named ATTXXXX where the Xes are a randomly generated sequence.
This new attachement canot be launched as the file extension is missing.
Could someone explain why is the initial attachement removed and replaced by the new one ?
My Notes server is version 6.5.1 running on Windows 2003 Server SP1.
I have experienced the same problem vith notes 5 server.
