If I upload a file and it is interrupted half way through would the resulting download be incomplete i.e. pieces missing or corrupted?

I think it would be corrupted personally. My question stems from a problem that my client is having when uploading a Powerpoint presentation using my Content Management System. They claim that some parts of the Powerpoint are missing i.e. pictures etc and that this could be due to an incomplete upload.
I think however that an incomplete upload would cause a corrupted file and that the problem is more likely to be an incorrectly made Powerpoint.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Sounds like the presentation references *external* images, stored on the client's local hard disk. The client is uploading the presentation file, but the referenced images are not part of that file.

I believe powerpoint has a save mode which embeds all images and resources into one file, for easy export.

The person then informed me that they were uploading using WiFi about 100 yards from her bases station.

It beggars belief what us tech heads have to put up with off the customers eh
