Hi,

We moved a virtual server the other day on the EMC CX3-20 and when it started up it was missing the data drive. It shows the C: drive as a vmdk file and type is virtual drive, however D: has changed to servername_1.vmdk but it shows the type as a file.

Is there anyway of getting the file back into a vmdk and get windows 2003 to recognise it?

Thanks in advance.

Terry

you could try to use the ovftool to package the files into a virutal appliance to see if it fixes you vmdk files.
