Not sure how this could have happened but it did. 3 terminals came back up after the server restarted due to a power surge from a lighting storm. The other 8 halted with a error processing the trans log. Trans log appears corrupt is the message. Now I thought if the log was corrupt it looked to the master to get a fresh one? Now ya gotta know that this happened on a Sunday night in Dallas Texas when the restaurant had 250 people in it right? And radiant's wonderful helpdesk is open on the Weekends. How dumb is that? Long story short what is the fix in a case like this?

Try to run a fixlog on the trans.log at the server (Might be able to save current orders)

OR

Remove the trans.log to be merged later with a new one(Easiest fix, but will have to redo current orders)

copy the translog from one of the working terminals back to the server and refresh data. This is a gamble. It will either work or crash the entire system. It has worked 9 out of ten times for me.
