I am trying to open a Paradox database and it will not allow me to open the database. The error message is: UNABLE TO OPEN TABLE CORRUPT TABLE/INDEX HEADER

Is there any way possible to fix this?

Thanks,
Naomi

What version of Paradox? There used to be a utility included with the program called Table Repair Utility. It should at least be able to get your file fixed enough to export the data to a new, empty copy of itself.

If everything else fails, you might try making a copy of the .db file ONLY, and try working with it ONLY.

You will need to save the data, either way.

Before trying this, I think I'd see if Table Repair (likely under Tools menu if Paradox Windows) will work.

If critical, you may try Chimney Sweep; it will sometimes repair tables that the native Table Repair can't handle.

If critical, start a BACKUP ROUTINE so you always have a copy of the data.
