Hi all,

Is there a way to detect when the root filesystem is corrupted as well as to be notified of it? Our root filesystem was recently found to be corrupt when we were doing a ufsdump of the filesystem. As as result of this, all our backups since the corruption were of no use and I would like to prevent a similar occurance of this in the future.

Thanks.

Run fsck -n against your root file system from cron.
