Hi,

I am trying to rebuild my database and get the following error:

Corrupt Memo/BLOB file.
Context: BatchMove: c:\goldmine\ContHist
c:goldmine\XontHist

1: File c:\goldmine\ContHist.DBT
BDE Error CatCode: [35:3]
BDE: 500[4/11/1999] Goldmine: 6.00.30503

Any ideas?
Thanks, PJ

Try the following:

1. Re-Index (not rebuild) just the individual Contact History Table.
2. If the above succeeds try and rebuild just the individual Table.

This works in most cases otherwise you may need to try a rebuild using something like BR7 or may need to examine the file itself using something like BR7 to try and correct the corruption however if you haven't done this before I wouldn't try it without the direct advice of someone who is experienced in completing it.

Thanks Jason,

that worked (eventually). I did step 1 as you suggested and that was fine. Then did step 2 and got the BLOB error again. Then did step 1 again over all tables, then step 2 over Conthist (fine), then step 2 over all files (fine).

I find it bizarre that running effectively the same procedure multiple times over the same data gives different results, but its working now so 'whatever'.

Thanks again.

Yep, it is strange, sometimes it just seems to get stuck. That is highly technical I know but cannot explain it.
