I would like to create a folder on our server inteded to be shared out as an SMB volume to guest users.

The guest users should be able to read and write to and from the share and modify and delete files within the folder (share).

I'm trying to understand permissions correctly, I know that SAMBA has it's own share mask, but I would like to try and get the permissions correct for the share point:

Should the owner be 'root' and the group 'user' with permissions 755?

Best regards
