I have tried and failed to create a report layout that allows me to show 3 records per page for printing receipts. I want to use an 8.5 x 11 sheet perforated into 3 equal sections, one under the other.
The printer's bottom margin is 0.5", which is ok. I have laid out the controls so they fall within the printable area, but the bottom edge of the report needs to extend into the bottom margin in order for the receipts to have identical margins after the page has been cut.
Then it dawned on me: Create a custom page size! So I created a page that is 12.5" long (a bit more than I need) and all was fine. The bottom margin of 0.5" means that the paper above the margin is 12". It works just fine.
