Correct key setup for monitoring lines on an M3904

We have a group of nine people in an ACD who all want to monitor each other's on/off hook status. Currently, they're set as SCNs on each others KEYs. However, I'd like to roll out CLS TDD to them (thanks to GHTROUT and other members for writing verbosely about this in the forum!).

Since they'll not want to see CLIDs for everybody else's lines, just their own DN and the ACD, is the best way to allow them to monitor (but not get CLID entries) each other's lines to change the SCNs to BFSes and then move them to CLS TDD?

If they are ACD, no combination of DN keys will give the status of the In-Call key on the phone. You might be stuck with BFS

That's what I thought, just wanted to confirm. Thanks.

Of interest, BFS keys can complicate matters. You might find people are Call Forwarding each other all over the place when they press someones BFS key.

The "solution" (duh) is, there is OPT value in the LD15 RDR_DATA gateway called "FKD"

If I remember right, setting FKD disabled "all" CFW keys in the system. I don't know of that is the case in all releases.

I don't think a BFS key can be programmed with the TN of an ACD set or am I remembering wrong?

In the FTR_DATA on my release 5 CS1000 there is a setting BFS_CFW which when set to no takes the forward feature away from the BFS keys.

I'm not sure what release this feature was added but it's there now.

Oh ya, I think I remember the 'no ACD" TNs now too. Good catch. Not sure if that changed.

I despise BFS :)

I'm returning to this thread now, and I just came across exactly what guycable2 said: BFS keys can't monitor a TN that is part of an ACD (you get SCH8788, "The monitored set may not have an ACD-DN" if you try to do it).

So I'm back to square one: Is there any way that these six different users can monitor the status of each others' lines without an SCN/SCR? Because -- and this is the catch -- if I put them in CLS TDD so that they can see caller ID on keys other than KEY 0, won't they see caller ID on *any* SCN/SCR? That's my understanding of how CLS TDD works.

Phrased differently: Is there any way to let them see caller ID on KEY 0 (ACD) and KEY 1 (SCR their personal number) and also monitor each others' lines without seeing caller ID on KEYs 2-11?

Put a DISPLAY (DSP) key on the phone. The users would only need to use it for calls to their DN on key 1. As the line is ringing, the user would press the DISPLAY key then press the line button to see the CLID. Leave ADD in CLS so the other lines do not show any CLID while ringing. I know that is a manual process but it is the only way I can think of.
