We have IBM Netfinity servers running Windows 2000 SP3 and BE 8.6. We're using Quantum SDLT220 drives and Adaptec 29160 SCSI cards. A couple of driver questions:

1.) Is it better to use the Veritas driver for the tape drive or the Quantum driver for the tape drive?
2.) Is it better to use the Adaptec driver for the SCSI card or the driver that Windows provides for it?

Any experience with what is best practice and what has proven to give the best results?

Veritas recomends using Veritas drivers for the tape drive. Don't know about the SCSI card; you may wish to go to the knowledge base at for that answer.
