I have a client that has sites in 3 states ... they need a corporate voicemail that could link all 3 states and they have about 1000 users. Any ideas on what type of voicemail I could offer them? They have mostly siemens rolm systems ... 3 out of 4 sites ... last site they will be upgrading the switch to match the others.

Thanks for your HelP

Almost any voice mail will work, but it depends on the level of integration that you would like to have with your switches. Most people end up with the solution offered by the manufacturer because it provides the highest level of integration with that switch. Others may only be able to turn on or off a message waiting indication, or provide no integration at all.

You can get around much of the integration deficiencies through routing and digit manipulation, but figuring out how to make it work can be difficult.

PhoneMail would be the obvious choice, as it was Rolm's voice mail before Siemens and IBM bought them out.

Do you have any idea what kind of Siemens switch it is? A Hicom maybe?
