I had been a technical trainer for 6 years and had decided to do a career change.

I would like to take up corporte trainer as a career. Can anyone point me how to start off? Courses to take? How to get to the people? etc.

Well, first determine what training companies are in your immediate area. Then review what they teach, look at their course offerings. If you have the skills, see if they are looking for anyone. If you do not have the skills, consider training in those areas (i.e. Micosoft System Engineer, etc.). Now, if you have skills and they training companies are looking for staff, see if they meet your benefits and salary requirements. My wife, just went from a full time to part-time role. The company has very few employees. Most instructors are consultants and getting a less than attractive rate. But, consider the market conditions, the IT industry has been in decline and therefore training also.. hopefully, it has made a turn latelly.. hope these thoughts were useful...
