Corporate Instant Messaging recommendation

A client has asked me to recommend an instant messaging system that he can install on his network. He loves MSN Messenger at home and can see some benefits of using a similar system for his colleagues at work.

Does anyone know of a good corporate IM solution without me having to recommend MSN Messenger, AOL, etc?

There is a corporate version of Messenger, think its Live Communications Server. Used to be a part of SBS2000 I do believe.
