Corporate Edition 7.51 DOS when scannin a 4 byte file

Hi Forum,
all our win2k computers will crash/bluescreen when they try to scan a file which starts with 0xff 0xff 0x9c 0xff. we are running Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition 7.51.847 on windows 2000 SP4 german. our exchange server is also protected with norton antivirus, so if someone sends a 4 byte file with FFFF9CFF(hex), the mailserver will reboot. norton antivirus 2000 is also crashing. can someone confirm this problem ?

Can't confirm your problem, however are you applying the recommended exclusions on your exchange servers. If not norton realtime will scan directories that can cause alot of pain for exchange. Check out this link and see if it helps.
