You can search for users exts using this but obviously you cannot use the click to dial functionality - users HAVE to be set up on CM for that.

Looks good, however only a portion of the users show up. Looking at the user accounts, there doesn't seem to be anything that readily jumps out as being different between the accounts that show and those that don't. Seems to go up to a certain extension and just stops. These were all loaded via BAT, so they should all be the same... Anything else I can look at?

Yeah we had the same issue - there is an option to display more than the default of 64 results though.
Go to Enterprise Parameters. Under User Search Paramenters, set User Search limit to more than 64 (up to a max of 500).
Other than this, you could put an ext list on your Intranet.
