Has the programme been working ok and has now started to play up apparently for no reason or has it been like this from install?

To Brushman

The program has been working great for the last few months.
The install was no problem.

Retrospectively, the last two times the program launched the color pallet was not there, until I manually went into options, to bring it up. ( I dont know if this has any relativity to the problem.)

The next time I wanted to work I received this notification in the middle of the launch----
CORELdrw caused an error in the module CRLCTL110.dll and will close.

The program does not continue loading.

I have since Un-installed & re-installed from the disk --still same error message.
I have now Un-installed again & manually gone into Windows Explorer to Program files & removed the CorelDraw 11 folder that was NOT removed in the process.--This is where I stand now. NO PROGRAM!

Thanks for any help
Gary

Installing again is your only option now but do ensure that all other programmes are closed ESPECIALLY anti virus so disable NAV if you have it.
Hope this helps - Happy New Year!

Ok & thanks
I re-did a scandisk & defrag.--then---Re-installed from the disk.
Crossed my fingers and "IT'S ALI I I I I IVE!!" It works!!

I believe that Un-installing again & MANUALLY
removing the CorelDraw 11 folder THAT WAS NOT removed in the automatic process was the answer.

To everyone who responded to my distress call
THANK YOU,
Localbrush

maybe the CRLCTL110.dll file its corrupted... did you try to copy that file from one computer (in where corel works fine) to your pc??? maybe some operation leave that file open and then corrupt itself... let me know if that work

Saw this on the CorelDRAW website for a similar problem (but not the same DLL file):
"This can be caused if your workspace is corrupted. Reset the workspace by holding down the F8 key as you launch CorelDRAW, and when prompted to overwrite your workspace with the factory defaults, click on Yes."
