Hi, I usually use photoshop but since I have started doing text logos, I have used Coreldraw 11.
The problem is I have a color in photoshop which is web safe and classed as Magenta/Fuschia. #FF00FF or RGB 255,0,255

When I use this in Coreldraw it is not the same color. It is more washed out and not as fluorescent.

Any ideas as to why? I have used a number of different pallets and still no luck.

Thanks

CorelDraw may display a different colour due to the colour management you have selected.

You may need to experiment with the options under the Tools : Colour Management until you get the visual result you would like, both when editing in CorelDraw and in the finished output.

At a guess, it is previewing the colour using a CMYK approximation -- which is good if you are creating printed output (because the printed result will indeed be duller) but is not optimum for creating web pages.

jemq,
Use the web setting in your color management options or better yet turn off color management all together to get the results you're looking for. Let us know how it's going.

OK, the strangest thing. I turned off colour management and tried the same settings for the color. All still the same. no matches and looks terrible. A few days later, I was showing someone the problem and it all worked out OK, colour in Corel still looks slightly washed out but when I import into photoshop, all is OK....

A strange one indeed. I will tryu to replicate the issues I had and see if I can sort out why it happened.
