Hi
I use CorelDraw 12. I have managed to 'lose' the ability to use the transformation key? Specifically I want to have the ability to have a menu at the side of my screen (is this called a docker?) which I can leave open while I am working on a document. I need to rotate the image but even going to 'arrange' .. 'transformations' .. 'rotate' doesn't seem to be working?

I used to have a menu at the side of the screen but this has disappeared - does anyone know how to get it back?

Thanks
Dopey!

Could try

- keyboard shortcuts to bring up the transform menu
alt-f7, alt,f8, etc then dock the window on the right
hand side of the applicaton.

- change the command tools>customization for transform
functions, see if that works.

- maybe the docker is there. Change to a higher screen resolution (if you can) load coreldraw, maximise the app and see if it shows up.

- last resort (never had to do this and only suggestions) check out the workspace settings? Or re-install the app.

Before reinstalling, save your workspace if customised. Close Draw and relaunch with F8 pressed, accept factory defaults. Reload cuatom workspace.
Corel sometimes gets a corrupted workspace which can lead to unexplained or unexpected programme behaviour, ressetting with F8 will sort this and is much less painful than a reinstallation.

Thanks Brushman, I only ever want to say re-install as a very last resort.

Hi Guys
Thanks a million - you've rescued me before I tore my hair out! Reinstalling the factory settings by holding down F8 worked! Have been struggling with this for a while - wish I'd ambled on to tek-tips before.

Thanks again

F8 can be your best friend and it is relevant for many of the later version.
